Great post on what actually went down. It is amazing how overblown this has gotten but has been a great test to weed people I shouldn't listen to.

I personally love the fake outrage some of the responses the Orgasmatron were to people that weren't there.

"he just said, people draw cocks when you give them a drawing tool."

"He was then nearly out of time, so he opened up his “Orgasmorator.”

"He then went on to explain that in order to perhaps one-up the penis makers at their own game, he embedded a penis in the app itself as an Easter egg."

"he noticed that one of the doodles she drew very closely resembled a penis"

Sounds like someone has a fixation.

Just from these statements if someone was offended it demonstrates that a certain level of sensitivity is required when presenting to the public. You can't "assume" that if you're ok with it that everyone else would be. Wasn't attending but it didn't sound like any "professional" presentation I've attended especially with a mixed gender audience. Buncha guys drinking beer...maybe. Learn from it and move on.

Well said.

The most difficult thing for me is that I know Hoss. I've met his wife, kids, and even parents. He's an excellent friend with a wonderful heart and a large part of the reason I came to Flashbelt.

I like the conversation/debate that has emerged, but I have a difficult time thinking that what he said was meant to offend or demean in any way.

Would I feel comfortable bringing my grandparents to see it? Absolutely not!
But I wouldn't feel comfortable watching Seinfeld with them either.

At the end of the day I've been most proud of the people who have been willing to speak up(on all sides). AND I thank Dave for another great year at Flashbelt. For the midwest to have something like this is truly special.

I can't wait for next year.
(as an aside, NSFW would make for an interesting follow up presentation)
