Hi guys, I keep getting that same “out of memory at line: blah” while using ie7 on Vista. Well I usually get the “out of memory at line: 19″ error most of the time, but I also get that same error message constantly but with diffrent “line” numbers not just 19.. I was kind of hopeing some one might be able to help me with this. I’ve been searching for help on this issue for a while now, but haven’t found any solution or anything similar to this problem for that matter.., till I found this page…
But unfortunatly I don’t understand any of the technical mumbo-jumbo you guys talk about in the comments above.:( But it sounds like a solution to the problems I am having. So, can someone please put it in simple words as in what i need to do to solve these issues on “out memory of memory” I would really appreciate it . Thank you.

I agree this is a non-bug.
No site should rely on a referer.
Beside, Gnash doesn’t use the browser sockets
at all, and intentionally doesn’t send a referer,
so I hope youtube will never rely on that!

thanks for the presentation. It was very interesting.

Inspired by this AnnoTube-thing you mentioned I wrote something similar for Flash. I called it YTCuePoints. I works like the regular CuePoints and synchronizes flash content with youtube videos.

I agree that this is a major bug. It has been causing problems and security issues on our application for many years now. I have no idea why the firefox developers have not fixed it yet.

If I knew this before, I would have changed my design that way you did. It looks marvelous I’m very jealous, I want it too!!! But at the moment I’ve got not that time to change my design. So I have to wait for some week, when I’m in holiday from work. But to change the design of my blog will be the first thing to do, when I’m in holiday.

I doubt you can get much more optional than that. The real breakage, as far as I’m concerned, is that browsers still send it by default

Hmm… I don’t see the map :(
Anyway, I like youtube xml api (not javascript) much more than it’s js api…

As example, I use it on my weather pet project for getting coords (titles, description etc) and then place movies on googlemap.

And, I agree that googlemaps api is pretty easy to learn :)

I think that its a big flaw in WordPress that they dont make it so that older themes are compatible with the newer versions, but gotta say, the new themes are awesome though. At least as far as I have used WordPress.

I´ve applicated to Google last year in Poland. They are looking for human capital at the moment, but the recruiting process is hard and it´s not easy to get through. They have many expectations to be fullfilled and the toughest is the personal fit. Anyway I wish you good look!

RFC 2616 states that the Referer header field “allows the client to specify, for the server’s benefit, the address [...].” I doubt you can get much more optional than that. The real breakage, as far as I’m concerned, is that browsers still send it by default. As long as they do, you will have to choose between neglecting data prevention and no longer using the broken websites that rely on it.
