    Hi,
I'm seriously hoping someone has either had this problem or can offer some advice.

http://www.thisdesignstudio.com/broo/ - This page isn't working properly in Safari or Firefox on my Mac. I don't know if the same problem is on PC's, but I'd like to hear from PC users either way.

The slideshow at the top is SlideshowPro. It is embedded with SWFObject and param (wmode, opaque) in a div called slideshow

Click the Quicktime link under Medeski Martin & Wood in the right sidebar. This opens a Thickbox with an html page (TBplayer/TBplayer.html) that has an FLV player embedded. It is also embedded with SWFObject and param (wmode, opaque) in a div called qt

In Safari, the video plays but the slidshow encroaches - "popping forward" and covering the top part of the movie.
In Firefox, the slideshow disappears when the Thickbox opens and only the audio plays - no video.

I'm at a complete loss to explain or debug this. I will pay for a fix if it's beyond something simple I'm overlooking.

Please email me directly if you have any advice - me@davebias.org.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!

well in firefox on mac it seemed to show the popup correctly, but the video didn't play (might be some other issue, or maybe just a slow connection for me)

in safari, i could see the overlap. wmode is always a tricky setup, and safari has long been one of the worst browsers when it comes to supporting it.

in your case, the fix should be fairly easy: just hide the slideshow when the quicktime movie is popped up - maybe just move it off the state using positioning, or try setting the parent div to hidden or something and that might fix your problem.

we have had to suspend using greybox due to this same issue

any "active" event in the swf like a slideshow will jump right into the greybox in firefox and safari, a swf playing over a swf is untenable

until we come up with a behavior that will hide the flash contact when the greybox link is clicked and toggle it back visible when the greybox is closed I cant see it being useful over top of a swfobject
