*FireFox is ok - only IE7 (and IE6?) Problem page: http://www.coldminer.com/test/bilder_swfobject.php This page will work only once - if you reload the page it won't start properly. But if you empty your cache the it will work, but only once.
I had this same problem with using the Zoomify (www.zoomify.com) Flash viewer swf file. It would work if the IE7 user had the cache setting on anything except the Automatic setting.
I further found that it only occurred when you set the ImagePath (which is required for zoomify). Without that it would load a blank zoomify and I never had the problem.
Every other method of including this object seemed to work fine. The problem was, I needed to change the object or replace it and did not want to have to reload the page. SWFObject worked great for this in FireFox.
I eventually ended up trying the UFO (http://www.bobbyvandersluis.com/ufo/) and it worked fine there. I was able to dynamically load the zoomify swf and replace it as needed. No more IE7 cache problems.
Since UFO and SWFObject might be merging/working together, lets hope that future versions continue to work.
