I searched the forum for threads on the same problem I'm experiencing, but could find none. I downloaded swfobject 1.4 and 1.5 but having the same problem with both. Whenever I load the HTML page with express installer in IE6, the expressinstall swf connects to Adobe, prompts me to upgrade, I click yes, the download installs, the browser closes and re-opens to my content HTML file. Using the same files in Firefox 1.5 and 2.0, everything is the same up to the point when I click yes to the upgrade. Then an application window opens telling me to close all open browsers, and the body of the swfobject changes to text saying pretty much the same thing. When I close the browser and click to continue, the installer downloads ok but the browser opens up to and Adobe page for FP9 instead of my HTML file. I am also experiencing the same problem with Geoff's files when using his expressinstall tester.
Any fix or suggestion greatly appreciated. Thanks.
