I'm trying to use swofobject on a website I'm devellopping, but I'm finding some troubles with IE7 (always IE). I've already searched for a solution here at this forum, but I couldn't find one that worked, so, please, if someone could help me, I would apreciate.
I'm running it on wordpress with swofobject 1.5. The problem is that it works fine in FF, etc, but in IE7 it starts to load the page but then it stops and a message alert pops up. My IE version is in portuguese, so I don't know exactly what it would say in English. There are two swf files in this page, but I'm testing it only with the second one, on the sidebar.
The strange thing is that I'm using the mediabox effect on this page: http://www.biscoitosarcor.com.br/natal_arcor/?page_id=10 and it works perfectly well.I've already tryied the Aran's time/date hack, but it doesn't seem to work.
Sorry, but I don't have IE7 installed right now. I can say that IE6 works just fine for me however.
So, if you go back to standard object/embed for both files the error doesn't appear? Perhaps the error message is not to do with the swfobject swf, but the standard object/embed swf ?
I've just discovered what was wrong. The problem is the mediabox java script (mediabox also uses swofobject). It is conflicting when there are other flashes on the same page, other than the ones which are loaded with mediabox effect. I'll try their forum to solve this issue.
