I have used the swfObject for some time now and I am a HUGE fan. It has worked very well until now. Our website was working perfect yesterday, but today for some reason it will not load the 'addVariable' into the flash movie.
I use 1 flash movie as a shell and each HTML page directs that flash movie. Now when I load it it will load the initial variable but does some kind of refresh and then it doesn't seem to recognize the variable?
So it doesn't have any problem loading from my computer localy or on any other browser than IE. I wondered if it was a windows update and possibly some update in IE7 is effecting this... but I tested it on an old computer with IE6 and it doesn't work either. I am using swfObject 1.5. I looked at trying 2.0, but it looks like a bit of a learning curve and some change. I have 40+ HTML pages so I would just love to figure out what's wrong with this one that has worked for so long.
I have also tested it on multiple servers and they all do the same thing. I created a simple flash movie with just a dynamic text field on stage... and you can see that the variable loads initialy, then the flash movie seems to reload... and then it doesn't recognize the variable?
