I'm using the SWF Object to embed my Flash content but I'm noticing a couple of seconds lag between hiding the HTML content and replacing it with the Flash content, and according to our designer who designed the website he feels that this looks quite unprofessional and I do have to agree with him.
If you take a look at: http://www.badgehurst-training.co.uk/Home.aspx you'll notice that this page has 3 different Flash objects, but the main issue is with the header Flash object (wood background with "badgehurst training" written into the wood).
You'll notice that when Flash or JavaScript is not enabled then a replacement HTML image is shown, but when you load this page you still see that image for a split second before the SWF Object script kicks in and replaces it.
Is there any way around this?
Also, is there any Server-Side (ASP.NET) scripts that can detect if the user has Flash player? I have searched around for the past two days and found nothing as it seems that although .NET can read the ActiveX control and mime types, they are completely unreliable!
I'm on such a tight deadline for this I'm lost for answers.
